Arbonne Sheer Finish Tinted Moisturizer review
When Summer began, I knew straight away that I didn't want to wear any foundation. I wanted something light weight, that provided a little bit of coverage, so began my quest to find the perfect tinted moisturizer. I tried both drugstore and department store brands but I couldn't find exactly what i was looking for, I began to give up, when i remembered the Arbonne sheer finish tinted moisturizer, unopened and lying at the bottom of my makeup kit. The name of this particular product kind of scared me a little, which is why i had been hesitant to try it out in the first place. 'Sheer' was not what i was looking for, i definitely wanted some coverage. But boy, am i glad that i gave this baby a chance, because it has now become a staple in my every day makeup case. For my full review on this little miracle, keep reading.
The Arbonne Sheer finish tinted moisturizer provides you with a really nice light-medium coverage finish for something with the words 'sheer finish' in the title. It does a nice job of evening out the skin tone and covering acne scarring, but it does not cover blemishes or all redness which is fine because its not meant to. This product soaks into the skin nicely, leaving a perfect my skin, but better/no makeup finish. It is very light weight, and doesn't feel like you have any product on your skin. It gives off a very dewy finish, which is why I'd recommend applying powder to your t-zone before going out while wearing this product.
I find that i get the best results when i apply this tinted moisturizer over a makeup primer, using my fingers. You could also use a sponge or a stippling brush to apply this particular tinted moisturizer.
The texture of this tinted moisturizer is pretty fluid. Because of the consistency and texture of this product I would describe it as feeling more like a moisturizer than a foundation when I apply it. It's extremely easy to blend, and blends quite well.
I really like the packaging on the Arbonne cosmetics. It's a simple, yet sleek black tube, with a twist off lid. The front of the tube features a strip which shows the shade of tinted moisturizer inside. I'm actually not sure whether it's actually a little window showcasing the actual product inside, or a sticker strip. What i really like about the Arbonne cosmetics is that they actually have an expiry date on them, which really takes the guess work out of figuring out whether it's time to toss it, or not (This particular tube expire 10/2012 and i purchased it in 2011, for my post on when to toss old makeup products, click here).
This tube contains 1.7 fl. oz./50 mL of product, and retails for $50 CND, $36 US and £24, so it's definitely a very high end product. This is actually the most expensive tinted moisturizer I've ever seen (In Canadian currency).
Anything else to add?
Yes! This tinted moisturizer contains SPF 15, and unlike many tinted moisturizers I've tried, this one actually does a good job of moisturizing my skin! This product comes in 6 different shades, which is a refreshing change from some of the tinted moisturizers which only come in 3 shades..."light", "medium", and "dark".
I love Arbonne, and use some of their products daily. All Arbonne cosmetics are made using natural ingredients and can be purchased online at arbonne.com
